WHAT WE BELIEVE
JESUS is the Head of the Church.THE BIBLE is the Holy Spirit-inspired Word of God, His revelation of Himself and His will for man. It is the Christian's guidebook to a purposeful life, a road map to heaven and the only standard by which right and wrong is to be judged.IN UNITY on matters of faith, liberty in freedom of opinion, and in all things, love.We are not the only body of Christians; rather, we are CHRISTIANS only.We SPEAK where the Bible speaks and are SILENT as a church voice where the Bible is silent. One is saved by having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). One obtains that relationship by earnestly seeking Him as God's Word directs:
BELIEVE that He is the only begotten Son of God, sent to save us (John 3:16).
CONFESS our faith in Him to those about us (Matthew 10:32-33).
REPENT from our sinful ways and turn to follow Christ daily in our lives (Luke 13:3, Acts 17:30).
BE BAPTIZED for the remission of our sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:38 & 22:16, Romans 6:3-6).One retains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ by remaining faithful to GOD'S WORD (2 Timothy 2:12, Revelation 2:10, Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14).It is the privilege and responsibility of all Christians to take the "Good News" to OTHERS.The local CONGREGATION to be autonomous - self-existing, with no superior officer or body to oversee them collectively. We acknowledge only the leadership of JESUS CHRIST beyond the local leadership of the ELDERS.The main purpose of the believer and the church existing is to bring GLORY, HONOR, and PRAISE to the Heavenly Father, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit in and through each endeavor undertaken.
What to Expect
FOR OUR GUESTSWe are glad you chose to worship with us today! We want to make your time with us as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. The following information may be helpful to you.Order of Worship - We sing a few songs, go right into the message, then set aside time for communion. Then, we take up an offering and close out our time together with announcements, prayer, and a song.Children’s program - Children (Ages 3 yrs. - 1st Grade) are dismissed at the beginning of the sermon where dedicated volunteers will teach and do activities geared for their learning level. Children will be brought back to parents during our closing song. A quiet nursery room is available near the foyer with privacy for moms and toys for babies. A changing table is available in the family restroom. The Offering - It is a privilege and an act of worship to give back to God a portion of the material blessings He has given us. We give an offering each week as an act of worship. There is no expectation for our guests to give an offering. We hope instead of an offering, you’d give us an opportunity to get to know you! Text the word “Guest” to our online giving phone number to connect with us. You can opt-out anytime!Communion - We offer the Lord’s Supper each Sunday for all Christians. This is done to provide an opportunity to obey Christ to commune “in remembrance” of His death on the cross. (Acts 20:7) As the emblems are passed, please take the cups from the tray. Whenever you are ready, you may partake of the emblems on your own. The servers will walk back through the aisles with baskets to collect the empty cups after a time of reflection.Decision and Dedication - Times for public responses to God are included in our worship. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God, has the power to be your Savior, and has the right to be your Lord, we invite you to make the decision to follow Jesus. With that faith, and repentance of your sins, we invite you to be immersed in water (baptism) to obey the Gospel. During the invitation song, you can find our Elders in the foyer. They can pray for you, explain the Gospel to you, and/or encourage you in your walk with Christ. If you would like further information about either of these decisions, feel free to speak to one of our Elders or the minister after worship, or anytime during the week!
